A Reflection Of The Soul

A Reflection Of The Soul

Your Birth Chart Is Your Own Personal Blueprint
Astrology when done right offers you a guide to refer to when you are feeling doubt or lost of direction. A look at your chart every so often can offer reassurance knowing that you have a variety of opportunities to choose from. Your purpose is not meant to be one destination to concur but rather many on a journey of self development. You are meant for many very special experiences throughout your life. The best part of your chart is allowing you to see windows of opportunity that are meant specifically for you to take action on, if you so desire.

Fortune telling is a very small portion of reading a chart. Nothing is set in stone but rather full of choices that cycle through for the mere opportunity for you to grow and develop emotional, mentally and spiritually.

Rise Above This

The response we choose creates the life we want.

I had a dream that my booked chiropractor appointments got somehow pushed off the schedule so they had no availability for me for 3 weeks. A chiropractor I see weekly and now I would not see for most of the month!

The dream played out in 3 ways and it brought me back to something my yogi said to me on our pilgrimage in India as I was suffering watching others suffer “You just have to rise above it” I was so offended and distraught by this response but like a good student I did try to find where he was going however I was in the thick of it, emotionally. I would not understand this concept for months later, after my own healing of the experience.

Dream play-outs:

1. Confusion. I was seeing what was happening and I was not feeling important. “How could they let this happen and not try to fit me in SOMEWHERE?!” An over reactive display of anger arose. I wasn’t originally angry, no I worked my way to this with thoughts that fed into an idea or story that bled into me as if this was done to hurt me. FOR AN APPOINTMENT! I’m not going to dying . Everything will be okay.

Flipping this moment: Reflect and take some time to care more attentively for myself. Observe the wounds that have been touched from this experience. These are often old wounds, sensitive and easily irritated. Remember that the story is an illusion and a distraction to why I feel the way I do and why I’m acting out. What truly is going on for me is a reminder to heal old wounds. I am safe to address these. I love to go for walks to give clarity to the truth of a matter.

2. Hurt. I felt a wave of emotions, all more devastating than the next as if I was sliding down the rabbit hole; from taken advantage of, broken hearted, not appreciated or respected, to sadness. I had many emotions and yet I watched myself leave the office without reaction. I had clammed myself up as yo not react. I was paralyzed by my own feelings about the story behind how I felt and why I thought this happened to me. I felt deeply betrayed and not taken care of by those I trusted too do so. I felt walked all over and I cried because I left feeling that I wasn’t strong enough to stand up for myself or lacked some sort of boundaries.

Flipping this moment: Time to observe the layers of this for me. The assortment of emotions triggered a space of wounding from past pains as well. It’s time to give space for journaling and unraveling the hidden truths within. Art is a good outlet for the introvert in me.

3. Non-attached. “oh okay, see you in a few weeks.” A lighter, calm and welcoming way of reacting as everyone cares and is doing the best they can. We are all in this together.

All reaction had the same original play out. The only difference was me; how I reacted internally about it and externally but more importantly how I received it. A choice we all have.

FYI this did not happen. This was only a dream. Had it happened or if it were too I’d know now how to react or rather how not to react!

Mythology Is A Way of Seeing Ourselves Detached From Our Own Mess

Mythology Is A Way of Seeing Ourselves Detached From Our Own Mess

When we look at mythology we see stories of warnings. Tales of love and tragedy. I encourage you to look a little closer. To relate to each character as if these stories are about you and your life.

What does this bring up for you?

Do you feel instant resistance, curiosity, intrigue?

If you can brave yourself the compassion this exploration has to offer you, you may be surprise by what just may come of this practice. It’s an experience that can lead you deeper into yourself. What stories have you been allowing from others, stories that are held on to for far too long.

I use Mythology as a resource for people to refer to as a reference for further research. My goal in my guidance is to teach how to depend on ones own reference points and the lessons that have shown up in the details of ones life. To recognize the patterns within your existence and use the tales of the past to step with awareness.
We often choose the same few steps without being aware of how to look at something objectively or we put too much thought into it all.

I lead by way of showing you what you already know and encourage you to put it to good use, because knowing is only a piece of the wisdom you hold.

I hope that you understands that I don’t just “give” advise but rather I guide you to trusting what you know to be true.

We live so much of life with people telling us what is right for us, often times to our detriment. Even when it is right for us, if we don’t choose for ourselves it’s as if our mind tried to right a wrong and leads us to find a longer way to this same decision.
It’s just human nature that we choose for ourselves the paths we take, right or wrong. Because it’s about the little moments that form our experience, not about the big picture. Jumping to the end of something looses its beauty. It’s in the embrace of the experience. We aren’t here to learn how to do things better than another but to do things that bring us sensations; like joy but also a rainbow of emotions. How we deal with them is the magic. The magic is in the practice. There is so much more to the story than meets the eye.

The wisdom that you hold is in the embrace and not the attachment of a moment. Chase them in your body, not in your mind. See where you are led to next. Evolution comes when we stop, observe and consciously redirect to a whole new epiphany of awakening. Awakening is a word that constantly changes as we arise to new awareness.

With Sacred Goddess Temple sadhana practices we put into play a whole new way of living. We learn to ride the wave rather than push against. You can begin to notice much bigger leaps of personal development rather than following the trails of the mind we so easily can get lost in.

Sound Benefits The Nervous System

Sound Benefits The Nervous System

Sound is tool of communication. Vibration is a language that our existence knows and reacts to in ways we may not be conscious to. Understanding this language for healing is a gift we can learn to communicate to our own body and mind. In fact while listening to the subtleties of our own vibration we can determine if we are vibrating in our natural tune or if we are off. Just as tuning forks are used to tune other instruments, they too can help us realign our own vibration.

How does our subtle vibration go off key?
Stress is the general cause however there are many causes that lead us there that we are not always aware of or allow ourselves to notice due to all the distractions in our life. We can fix this now by taking in to account in each moment; is it good for me or is this not for my greatest good. Maybe there are moments that you can not change in the moment. The pure awareness of it can be enough to redirect with a simple sound or breath. Tuning forks are just one way to lead us back to our natural state. What works for you may not work for another. Notice what feels blissful and what twinges. Musical instruments of almost any kind can do the trick, the sound of nature, mantras or musical lyrics. Even colors and smells can affect your state of existence.

Pianist are familiar with the sound of C3. This tune is known as the Otto 128 Hz. and is commonly used in the medical field. Doctors, EMT’s and Paramedics use this fork to locate bone fractures and other reactions. This vibration in particular can relieve pain, minimize spasms and even adjust circulation. While it helps eliminate discomfort it also helps to promote relaxation, reduces inflammation, supports a healthy, and even promotes brain function and enhances memory. An additional benefit is that it improves sexual health. All this by stimulating the function of the nervous system and promoting the release of nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide is a gas that the body naturally produces as a neurotransmitter to send messages between the cells, and stimulates the release of the growth hormone.

How to Use
When the Otto 128Hz is used it produces a 6 minute cycle called puffing which relaxes the tissues and reduces inflammation. The tuning fork needs to be held by the single point or you’ll loose vibration too quickly. If you don’t have a striker you can use the fat of your palm to gently hit the round or pronged head of the fork. Listen to the vibrations, the most subtle part of the vibration is incredibly important so wait for silence before striking again. Try placing the tuning fork on parts of your body to take note of the openings that it awakens in you.

Point 1: Activate the fork then place the stem of the fork on your sternum, your chest bone. Feel the vibration and imagine your heart softening.

Point 2: Activate the fork then place the stem of the fork on your third eye—the space between and just above your eyes. Close your eyes and feel the vibration move through your cranium.

Point 3: Activate the fork then place the stem of the fork on your sacrum, the bone at the base of your spine. Close your eyes and feel the vibration move through your lower pelvis.

Point 4: Activate the fork then place the stem of the fork on any acupressure/acupuncture site for 20 seconds at a time. Not to exceed three Placements in an area.

Enlightenment With Mother Earth

Enlightenment With Mother Earth

The path to enlightenment has been a topic of discussion lately. I’d like to discuss this further by focussing on each path for each dharma. This blog is an extension of Enlightenment Your Way

The Way Of The Earth Spirit
Earth beings are hard workers, leisurely and love to be loved. They may be good at cooking, fixing cars, technically savvy.
When out of balance they may be good at these skills but find them a burden rather than appreciating the gift of their nature.

One common resistance for many dharma’s is that they may live a miserable life not accepting their true dharma. They may even search for what is easy rather than trust in their innate gift that will eventually set them free, in the earth dharma’s case to feel loved fully. Listening to what makes you feel alive rather than hiding in the shadows.

History
There is so much negative casting in so many cultures that it has been tarnished to the point that we’d rather turn away from it entirely that to go deep to the root of it’s existence. Then we are left with unanswered questions and empty hopes and dreams.

The Path From Shadow to Light
This journey is found when we let go of attachment, for some. For some, it is learning how to care of the attachment. Caring for our bodies and allowing the depth our nature consume us with all that we are.

From Practice To Mastering Life
Embodiment is a fabulous practice for anyone and especially for earth bound creatures. Tracking your emotions in your body allows you to let go of thought for a bit. Dance, sing, be playful, eat, dance, have sex! It’s all part of the experience and with it comes a flood of sensations. Follow them, Don’t run away. Stay with them till you come through to the other side of light.
Need help with this? Come to our women’s temple circles. Learn what other fun practices we offer at our next gathering.

Waning Crescent Mindset

Waning Crescent Mindset

It’s an inspiring time to set your intentions to go inward after the excitements of the Full Moon. Observe your energy the next few days.

What is your body and mind asking of you?

Do you need to rest? Do you want to be at easy?

Adjust your schedule accordingly. Allow yourself a bit more time to daydream, journal and to just sit with your thoughts. Observe your mind as you negotiate between what must get done and what can be put off. Now is the time to allow yourself personal space to look inward. minimize contact as much as possible with the outside world.

As the full Moon fades we return inward to the practice stillness and renewal. This is the perfect time to renew your meditation practice or to begin a new practice in the art of stillness and observation. This awakens into the dreamland of inspiration!

What comes of the stillness?

Observe the stirring and write down what nudges your creative motivations! You’ll want to follow up with this as we move closer into the New Moon energy. Notice how it all unfolds the next couple weeks.

The Blue Moon Croning Ceremony

The Blue Moon Croning Ceremony

On the Leo moon and second blue moon of the year my dear friend and mentor Lori will be hosting a Croning Ceremony in honor of the local women who are ready to follow their inner wise and wild wisdoms.  I can say with genuine honesty that Lori is a true Goddess of the arts. She is a lifetime solitary witch, following the Celtic Wheel of The Year, and practices sacred ceremony and rituals. She is a gentle soul with a tremendous amount of knowledge in living the feminine divine. Follow her into her magic as she guides us through Mother, Maiden and on this special evening, Crowned Crone.

This beautiful ceremony will be hosted at the Ayurbella Sacred Space, Wednesday evening on January 31st at 6 PM. You won’t want to miss this!

Don’t Miss This Once In A Blue Moon Event!

The third aspect of the ancient Triple Goddess is the Crone. To aspire to be a Crone is to want the psychological and spiritual growth she symbolizes.
The Crone is an inner potential that we grow into becoming.

Come join us in celebrating and honoring those of us who are experiencing that shift in our lives to wisdom, life lessons and good hearts. If you feel ready, please plan on participating in a Crone Crowning ceremony during our gathering. If you are not to that point yet, please come celebrate the Blue Moon in its fullness and learn!
There may even be a bit of Imbolc ceremony.

Bring your journal, and coins scarf if you have one.
